Monolayer Blown Film Plant
Machine Introduction
A monolayer blown film extrusion machine is designed for the production of single-layer plastic films. The process begins with feeding plastic granules into the hopper loader. These granules are then melted and extruded into a continuous stream, which is pushed through a die to form a tubular shape. Using compressed air, the tubular film is inflated in a process known as bubble inflation (air cooling). This stretches the film to the required dimensions while cooling and solidifying it into a stable structure.
Cygnet-manufactured monolayer blown film machines are capable of processing a wide variety of resins, including LDPE, HDPE, and compostable materials such as PLA and PBAT. The choice of resin depends on the required film properties such as transparency, strength, barrier performance, and heat resistance.
Compared to multilayer machines, monolayer blown film machines are more economical, making them an ideal solution for applications where a single-layer film is sufficient for packaging needs. Real-time monitoring ensures consistent bubble diameter, cooling, and film properties.
